A 10 year centre to train PhD researchers in future NanoScience and NanoTechnology has been funded by the EPSRC. This continues a successful activity at Cambridge bringing together over 500 researchers working in Nano across disciplines including physics, chemistry, engineering and materials. Funding follows recent investments in Cambridge exceeding £200 million supporting Nano research, and new buildings for Materials and Cavendish Physics. The centre will work with a raft of companies including Nokia and Unilever to help the UK develop a lead in exploiting NanoTechnologies.
