The Centre for Doctoral Training in Micro- and NanoMaterials and Technologies (MiNMaT) at the University of Surrey specialises in solving academically challenging and industrially relevant problems in materials science and engineering, through understanding processing–microstructure–property relationships. The Centre offers an Engineering Doctorate, with all research engineers (students) being based with their industrial sponsor. It has a unique focus on the characterisation of advanced materials, with every researcher having hands-on experience of the state-of-the-art instrumentation available at the University.
