Regenerative Medicine tackles ageing, degenerative and injury-related pathologies. The Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Regenerative Medicine at The University of Manchester is training skilled biomedical non-clinical and clinical scientists. It delivers genuinely multidisciplinary training encompassing bioengineering, nanotechnology and biomaterials, stem cell-matrix biology and inflammation, gene and cell therapies and tissue engineering, alongside clinical experience. Training is linked into ongoing translational research within the UK Regenerative Medicine Platform, and with the Centre's industrial and international partners. The CDT will thus deliver a cadre of multidisciplinary scientists who meet the needs of academia and industry, and can ensure the UK’s international leadership in regenerative medicine.
