EPSRC UK National Crystallography Service (NCS)

Location of Facility
The University of Southampton and Diamond Light Source
Capabilities and services provided
The National Crystallography Service offers both data collection only and full structure analysis services for single crystal x-ray diffraction. Data can be collected on samples as small as 10x10x10µm. The service also offers advanced technique work with charge density, high pressure, variable temperature and gas cell studies possible. Seamless access to DLS is provided for samples requiring synchrotron facilities. The service is free at the point of access for UK academics and is also available at competitive rates for commercial customers.
The service also runs a series of workshops for both specialists and non-specialists.
