Professor Lynn Gladden, EPSRC Executive Chair, would like to meet with the engineering and physical sciences community through a series of town meetings. The meetings are planned for:

  • 3 September - Bristol
  • 4 September - Sheffield
  • 5 September - Edinburgh
  • 10 September - London

This is a chance for her to highlight the new exciting opportunities arising within UK Research and Innovation through our new EPSRC Delivery Plan, in the context of the wider UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Delivery Plan, whilst listening to your views and gaining a deeper understanding of the current landscape from your perspective.

The UK Government has established a target of increasing R&D investment in the UK to 2.4% of GDP by 2027, and 3% as a longer goal. EPSRC will need to work closely with our stakeholders to understand how we can collaborate to enable this goal to be achieved.

All stakeholders interested in EPSRC are invited to express an interest to attend. Whether you are from academia, industry, government departments or the third sector and whatever your career stage, you are very welcome. Those who do not traditionally engage with EPSRC but are seeking to increase this engagement are particularly encouraged.

To express your interest to attend, please complete the online form embedded on this page. We will try our very best to accommodate all where possible; however, we do reserve the right to balance the attendee list to ensure a spread of stakeholder groups at the town meetings.

The deadline for submissions is 31 July 2019.

For further information, please contact events@epsrc.ukri.org. EPSRC will be live streaming two of the Regional Town Meetings taking place in September. Find out how to join here.
