Mathematical Sciences Strategic Advisory Team Meeting June 2021

EPSRC Impact Team are holding a series of regional "Impact Roadshows" designed to explore how to handle impact in applications and EPSRC’s new philosophy towards impact.

EPSRC is seeking applications from Early Career academics to join the Early Career Forum in Manufacturing Research for a three-year term. We are looking to recruit 10 new members in this exercise. Application is by Expression of Interest, submitted via a smart survey. Eligibility follows standard EPSRC rules for research grants and is limited to UK Higher Education Institutions. A brief institutional statement of support is required.

Dr Arne Strauss (University of Warwick) and Dr Christine Currie (University of Southampton) organise a one-day workshop in The Shard in central London to identify future research directions in the intersection of demand management.

 

The Mathematical Sciences and Manufacturing the Future themes at EPSRC held a joint workshop on Future Manufacturing with Mathematical Sciences on 19 July 2017. The purpose of the workshop was to bring together investigators from projects supported under a previous Future Manufacturing with Mathematical Sciences call, along with other key researchers in the area, to explore current and emerging opportunities at the interface of mathematical sciences and manufacturing.

EPSRC organised the RCUK Statistics and Applied Probability Landscape Event in September 2016 on behalf of the Research Councils. The workshop brought together representatives from the Statistics and Applied Probability community to investigate the connection between fundamental Statistics research and its applications.
