EPSRC Impact Team are holding a series of regional "Impact Roadshows" designed to explore how to handle impact in applications and EPSRC’s new philosophy towards impact.

EPSRC is seeking applications from Early Career academics to join the Early Career Forum in Manufacturing Research for a three-year term. We are looking to recruit 10 new members in this exercise. Application is by Expression of Interest, submitted via a smart survey. Eligibility follows standard EPSRC rules for research grants and is limited to UK Higher Education Institutions. A brief institutional statement of support is required.

The concept of the sandpit is an interactive workshop involving 20-30 participants.

We are pleased to invite participants to apply to attend a three-day sandpit on digital technologies for health and care, themed ‘novel digital technologies to monitor, diagnose and treat the population remotely’.

The sandpit will run virtually in the second half of October 2021 (dates tbc).

Agenda and Summary Notes of the Manufacturing the Future Strategic Advisory Team meeting held in October 2020

EPSRC is holding a virtual community workshop in Grid Scale Storage on 18 and 19 January 2021. This will be an interdisciplinary workshop bringing together both industrial and academic researchers who are addressing challenges in areas relating to grid scale storage.

This workshop will identify the limitations in current approaches and will facilitate the identification of research challenges and opportunities in the area. In addition to evaluating the science behind these ideas, the social and economic implications will also be considered. The workshop will give attendees the opportunity to feed into EPSRC strategic development for the area.

This virtual workshop will take place on zoom. Sifting of EoIs will need to take place as only 30 slots are available for open competition.
