UK Japan Civil Nuclear Research Programme Phase 5
EPSRC seek collaborative research applications with UK- and Japan-based principal investigators covering key research challenges to accelerate the decommissioning of TEPCO's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.
This call is a collaboration between EPSRC and the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Science (MEXT). EPSRC will fund the UK-based research and MEXT will fund the Japan-based research components.
Up to £500,000 is available to support a maximum of two UK-based projects. MEXT will fund the component proposals in Japan.
UK-based component proposals must be submitted via the Research Council Joint e-System (Je-S) by 16:00 GMT on 12 July 2018. Please note that this time does not coincide with the Japan closing time, of 16:00 JST on 12 July 2018.
This call represents the fifth phase of the UK-Japan Civil Nuclear Research Programme and it is for small projects of approximately 30 months' duration, with a fixed end date of 31 March 2021.
