UK-India Civil Nuclear Collaboration Phase 5
This is the fifth phase under the UK-India Civil Nuclear Collaboration between Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) in India.
In the 10th year of collaboration between the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) in India, a delegation of Indian researchers from BARC and IGCAR were invited to Oxford, UK between 29 April - 1 May for a workshop in which develop new joint research projects with a focus on the following topics:
- Nuclear Waste Management
- Advanced Materials Manufacturing
- New Nuclear System Design and Reactor Safety
- Thermal Hydraulics
The outcome of the workshop identified ten projects that were invited to submit a full proposal. EPSRC have up to £3.5 million available to support UK researchers for awards of up to three years in length.
In addition, we are inviting submissions to the value of £250,000 for a new UK-India Network. The new UK-India Network will coordinate the next five years of the collaboration with a focus on overseas travel and the encouragement of ECRs to the UK-India Civil Nuclear Collaboration.
All full proposals must be received via Je-S by 16:00 GMT on 23 July 2019.
Please note that this is a closed call. You may only submit a proposals if you were invited to, and attended the UK-India Civil Nuclear Collaboration workshop in April/May 2019 and worked on one of the ten projects that were invited to submit a full proposal.
