Re-distributed manufacturing call for networks
The Re-distributed manufacturing town meeting will be held on Monday 2nd June. The venue is the Ambassadors Bloomsbury, near Euston, London, WC1H 0HX.
Registration is at 10am to start at 10.30. The meeting will close at 1pm.
The meeting will provide an opportunity to ask any questions related to the call and to meet and network with other researchers to develop network ideas and themes.
EPSRC and the Economic and Social Research Council invite applications for proposals to support networking in challenge themes related to Re-distributed manufacturing.
This call follows from the Re-distributed manufacturing workshop held in November 2013 where the report may be found.
There is a budget of £3 million for this activity and it is anticipated that up to six network awards will be funded, addressing a variety of distinctly different research challenge themes. Networks should bring together a multidisciplinary group of researchers to address key challenges related to Re-distributed manufacturing. Although some Networks may have a primarily technology or societal focus, Research Councils UK consider this field of research to require insights from multiple disciplines and perspectives in order to be fully addressed.
The purpose of this call is to provide an opportunity for researchers to build communities around Re-Distributed Manufacturing challenges, develop the research agenda with a particular focus and engage with both academic and user communities. There is also provision within this scheme to fund feasibility studies through the activities of the successful networks.
