Digital Security by Design is being delivered by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) through the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF). This challenge aims to tackle the most damaging cyber security threats, helping to ensure the UK remains one of the safest places to do business online. It aims to ensure every UK organisation and consumer is as resilient to cyber threats as possible.

A workshop, to be held on 12 November, aims to explain the planned approach to a UKRI investment of £18m in Protecting Citizens Online. 

UKRI invites expressions of interest to attend a one day Town Hall meeting in London, ahead of a £33 million strategic activity in Trustworthy Autonomous Systems. It is anticipated that the programme will be highly multi-disciplinary and UKRI encourages applications from across its portfolio. The deadline to express interest is 3 October 2019

Natural Environment Research Centre is convening a multidisciplinary workshop on behalf of the Arts Humanities Research Council, the Engineering Physical Sciences Research Council and the Economic Social Research Council, focused on the changing Canadian Arctic in London on Wednesday 19 June 2019, and would like to invite applications to attend. 

The 2018/19 MRes Ultra Precision Engineering student cohort from the University of Cambridge, Cranfield University, and the University of Nottingham are organising a conference taking place on 17 June 2019, which is to be held at Cranfield University. This year's theme focuses on future trends and emerging technologies within precision engineering, showcasing a range of speakers from academia and industry, further details of the conference can be found in this link and the poster attached. 

A retreat-style workshop held in May 2018 to explore the manufacturing-related strategic research and innovation landscape.

This meeting will assess sustainable routes for large-scale removal of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere.

This workshop was designed to identify the key aspects and values of the mathematical sciences community.

The JUNO network, EPSRC and the Nuclear Safety Research Association (NSRA) of Japan are sponsoring a UK - Japan workshop to build bilateral collaboration in radioactive waste management and decommissioning.

A workshop held in October 2017 to explore the challenges in digital healthcare.

This event will establish the first network of diverse women working on heat de-carbonisation research.  You will meet and be mentored by diverse experienced females from academia, industry and policy making.  Participants will also have the opportunity to attend a second event which builds on the networks gained in this event, and have an opportunity to collaborate to prepare a proposal for seed funding which we will award (up to £12,000) during a two-day residential writing retreat in March 2019. We will provide support and feedback on your grant applications.

The increasingly pervasive nature of information and communications technologies (ICT) in all aspects of our lives raises many exciting possibilities and numerous concerns. Responsible Research and Innovation aims to maximise the benefits of technology whilst minimising the risks.

The conference will host talks by key speakers from both academia and industry followed by a panel and a poster presentation.

Confirmed speakers include:

Lord Tim Clement-Jones, member of the House of Lords and chair of the Artificial Intelligence Select Committee and Professor Tom Rodden, Deputy CEO of EPSRC;

EPSRC seeks expressions of interest for attendance to a bilateral UK-Republic of Korea (ROK) two-day workshop. The workshop will be held in Bath, UK on 4-5 July 2018.

Expressions of interest are invited in attending the Energy Revolution Research Consortium community building workshop on 09-10 July in Birmingham.  Please be advised attendance for both days is mandatory.  Registration will close at 4pm on the 15th June 2018.
