UK Research and Innovation Policy and Guidelines on Governance of Good Research Conduct
The UK Research and Innovation Policy and Guidelines sets out UK Research and Innovation's approach to the establishment and maintenance of good research conduct, and specifies the Research Council's expectations. It should be read with the Universities UK concordat and with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements. The UK Research and Innovation Policy and Guidelines apply across the full spectrum of research and training funded by the research councils.
The principles and guidelines apply in particular to:
- good conduct in peer review
- the need for appropriate training and development
- what constitutes unacceptable research
- the investigation and reporting of unacceptable research conduct.
