Sonia Contera is Associate Professor in Biological Physics at the Physics Department of the University of Oxford. She is also the codirector of the Oxford Martin Programme on Nanotechnology (Nanomedicine) and member of the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on Nanotechnology. In her work she uses physics and nanotechnology to understand biological problems and the other way around, she gets inspiration from biology for creating new nanomaterials, mainly for medical applications.
