UK partner organisations in international strategy development

We work with a range of UK public sector organisations to help researchers to get maximum value from international organisations and opportunities.

  • UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), on issues across the Research Councils, providing a coherent approach to international representation to ensure that the UK research community is well represented.
  • Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), liaising with the science and technology unit and science attaches to share experience of collaborative working and to identify the best groups for working with abroad.
  • Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), working together to ensure the UK gets its fair share from the EU Horizon 2020 Programme and to inform UK science policy.
  • British Council, sharing knowledge about opportunities in the UK for researchers, providing information to promote UK research internationally, and assisting in the operation of overseas funding schemes by acting as a UK agent.

We also work closely with the UK Research and Innovation UK Research Office (UKRO) in Brussels, and the UK Research and Innovation offices in China, India and the USA, as well as the FCO/BEIS Science and Innovation Network.
