Vacancies

EPSRC is re-opening its call for applications to recruit new members to two Strategic Advisory Bodies to start in January 2019. Closing date is 15 November 2018 at 16.00 Hours.  Please ensure that your application has been submitted before this time.

Appointments for SAT members will be for three years, with the possibility of extension for up to a further three years. Members are paid a fee for each activity they are involved with and are reimbursed for travel and subsistence expenses when attending meetings. Members are required to adhere to the Seven Principles of Public Life (Annex 1)

As well as our academic vacancies, EPSRC will look to appoint non-academic members from a business, industry, the third sector or government organisation whose role is focused on the managing the use of academic research to deliver innovation, economic growth or societal change onto each of its Strategic Advisory Bodies.

The Engineering Theme have produced a booklet on what the role of a SAT member is. Please see the Resources section below. Please also refer to the Strategic Advisory Bodies membership page.

For information on how to apply, the assessment criteria and the selection process, please refer to the Strategic Advisory Bodies membership page.

At this point we are looking to fill vacancies in specific themes but applicants should note that the current advisory team structure may evolve over the three year appointment in order to best support the delivery of our strategies.
