Recruitment of strategic advisory bodies
On a regular basis, the EPSRC seeks applications from prominent industrialists, academics and individuals working in the third sector and government organisations to join EPSRC’s strategic advisory bodies.
EPSRC’s strategic advisory bodies comprise:
- Strategic Advisory Network (SAN) – provides the EPSRC Executive with strategic advice to assist in developing and modifying plans and to make appropriate recommendations to Council. For further details about SAN’s precise role and responsibilities.
- Strategic Advisory Teams (SAT), Energy Strategic Advisory Committee (SAC), Digital Economy Programme Advisory Board (PAB) – provide EPSRC’s Theme Leaders with advice on research and training strategy in the different subject areas of the EPSRC portfolio. Self-nominations are sought from individuals who feel they are able to meet the requirements set out in the person specification set out for both the SAN and SAT vacancies. Nominations are also sought from key stakeholder groups or other organisations on behalf of suitable individuals.
