Responsive Manufacturing Call

The EPSRC Manufacturing the Future Theme will provide up to £7M (Research Council contribution) to support a portfolio of Responsive Manufacturing research projects.

Applicants intending to apply to this call must submit an Outline Proposal via Je-S by 11 August 2020. Outlines will be considered by an expert panel. Successful applicants at the Outline stage will be invited to submit a full proposal. This will undergo postal peer review, followed by assessment at a prioritisation panel, resulting in a rank ordered list. Funding decisions will be made in March 2021.

EPSRC Connected Everything network announces feasibility study funding second round call

Connected Everything (CEII) is looking to fund its second round of feasibility studies. Projects can be between 6 and 12 months in length, and should complete before the end of September 2021. We are looking to fund up to two projects of up to a maximum value of £60,000 at full Economic Cost (fEC), with funding to be awarded at 80% fEC.

National Nuclear User Facility Phase 2a Call

The National Nuclear User Facility is a distributed centre of excellence in nuclear science and technology dedicated to the provision of national and internationally leading facilities.  It has two core activities: the operation of key facilities needed to undertake research and development for the operation and future development of nuclear plant in the UK, and the training of the next generation of nuclear scientists in core skills for the use of modern equipment.  The first round of NNUF funding provided facilities located in both national laboratories and universities.  Funding was now been made available for a second round of facilities as part of the National Nuclear Users Facility (NNUF Phase 2) investment. Not all of this funding was allocated therefore, this additional call is being made in order to fill any remaining strategic gaps.
